The Si-Tex T-741 LCD Radar offers options usually found only in higher priced lines. The number and versatility of the components ensures that you can construct a radar system to suit your needs. It all starts with a 6.5" high resolution color LCD TFT display. It is ruggedly designed to withstand even the harsh conditions of a flybridge or open deck. With a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels, the display perfectly renders the main feature of this radar - the semi 3-D display mode. The radar echoes are shown as realistic visual impressions. The amplitude of echo is determined by its signal strength and is "painted" on the mercator type coordinate. This is displayed together with the normal radar screen, thus creating a semi 3-D effect. The radar presentation modes include Head-up, North-up, Course-up, and True-Motion. Using the AUTO key, the radar will automatically set Gain, STC, and FTC levels, allowing you to concentrate on navigating. One large rotary control is provided for quick and simple control of the EBL, VRM, Gain, STC, and FTC. Frequently used functions can be assigned to seven user-defined keys so you can customize this radar to your own operational needs. Features a 4 kW dome antenna. You can control the rotation speed of the antenna up to 48 rpm through a menu, a vital feature for fast moving ships navigating in congested waters.
