Charitable Donations Guidelines

At Consumers Marine, we receive several hundred requests for merchandise and donations each month. We wish it were possible to honor all of these requests, since most are very worthwhile causes. Consumers Marine currently sponsors several national and regional organizations that benefit our customers in a variety of ways. We take great pride in giving back to the communities where we do business, however, all requests cannot be granted. Due to the enormous volume of requests, Consumers Marine will only contact individuals if their requests will be filled. Please know that all donation requests are given serious consideration.

Organizations seeking a donation from Consumers Marine should meet the following criteria, and adhere to the following procedures:

• Organizations should be non-profit and classified as a 501(c) 3 or similar organization by the Internal Revenue Service.

• All requests must be submitted on association, group, company, or school letterhead, including the organizations primary name, address, telephone, email, and contact person. The request should also indicate the primary purpose of the requesting organization.

• All requests must be printed and mailed to Consumers Marine, attn: Donation Request, PO Box 7286, Greenville, NC 27835. Only one request per organization per calendar year will be considered. No requests may be submitted via telephone.

• All requests must include the date, time, and verifiable location of the event and how the item will be used (prize, raffle, auction, etc.)

• Please include a physical shipping address for the donation to be sent.

• All requests should be made 6 to 8 weeks prior to the scheduled event.

• As a rule, Consumers Marine does not provide corporate sponsorships or contributions for racing events, political organizations, individuals, the production of films, videos, or displays, or any events or activities that are not compatible with our corporate image.
